The Cruze - which will eventually replace the Chevrolet Cobalt here in the states next year - arrives in Europe this July, and will start at £11,545 ($14,763). The price includes power door locks and windows, a CD player, six airbags and electronic stability control. Although standard equipment will likely change when it hops over the Atlantic, we can still reasonably expect a decent set of standard features for the U.S.-spec Cruze.GM's aggressive pricing places the Cruze firmly below the European Ford Focus, which starts at £13,345 ($17,065). Standard features on the European Focus include power door locks and windows, a CD player, front and side impact airbags, anti-lock brakes and stability control.If GM and Ford can weather the economic crisis at hand, U.S. consumers may greatly benefit from the price wars that will inevitably occur when they bring over their European compacts next year.
